“A Tremendous Day” for Indiana Broadcasters

“It was a tremendous day,” said National Association of Broadcasters President and CEO Gordon Smith of the 2017 Indiana Broadcasters Conference.  “The awards program, I thought, was one of the smartest, best run most entertaining and informative that I can remember being to.”

The Indiana Broadcasters Conference united more than 450 people to celebrate Hoosier achievements in the industry and to learn what’s coming next.

2018 IBA Scholarship Program

Each year, the Indiana Broadcasters Association awards scholarships to students pursuing degrees in broadcasting. The IBA remains committed to the mission of broadcast education and is, again, providing scholarships in 2018. The scholarships are not possible without the support of our members. Since 2011, the IBA has awarded more than $180,000 in scholarships including $30,000 in 2017.

Doing so requires the support of our member stations which can earn valuable EEO credit by contributing to the 2018 IBA Scholarship Program and airing PSAs about the opportunity for students.

Earn EEO credit and support the future of broadcasting in Indiana by contributing.

New Member Benefit: Get On Board with NextRadio
The Indiana Broadcasters Association wants to help your stations add NextRadio functionality and will fund one year of NextRadio’s TagStation basic licensing costs – a $120 expense that will help you add listeners and analytics for advertisers.  All you need to do is attend a briefing about NextRadio and come prepared to sign up for the service.

With younger listeners relying on their mobile phone for entertainment and information, local radio is approaching a critical crossroads.  The board of directors of the Indiana Broadcasters Association recently approved the new program to assist Indiana FM radio stations to get on board with NextRadio – which gives mobile listeners the ability to listen to your programming wherever they go.

TagStation connectivity allows stations to reach listeners on the technology of their choice. Furthermore, it provides access to data and unique insights – information that can help you better understand your listeners, steer programming and drive new revenue.
