The SNMP Protocol in Broadcast Facility Control

You will be introduced to the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and learn it can be used to monitor and control equipment, and coordinate actions between different sites, at any distance.  A basic primer on SNMP will be presented and you will receive your information on how to explore the possible useful applications of the SNMP protocol in your own facility.

Tony Peterle has been involved in radio broadcasting continuously for over 40 years, in both on air and engineering positions. Tony has held Chief Engineer positions in Kansas City, Wichita and Honolulu, and received C.P.B.E. certification from the S.B.E. in 2015. Tony and Worldcast Systems have been leaders in the integration and practical use of the SNMP protocol in broadcast facilities management, he wrote the SNMP course for SBE University, and enjoys helping customers solve problems, traveling, contributing to the design of new products, and talking to broadcast and audio techno-heads like himself.
